About Me
I’m Kim Rivera (she/they), a Filipino-American, non-binary lesbian voice actor.
My love for narrative-driven RPGs opened my eyes to the world of voice acting and inspired me to pursue it. Experiencing my favorite characters’ stories alongside them made me feel seen and understood in a way that struck me—it ignited a hunger in me to become a part of that magic. I strive to create moments that make others feel the way I did whenever I played: amused, hopeful, courageous… less alone. Whether through video games or animation, I want to breathe life into characters and give them a home in someone’s heart.
I trained for four years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in a conservatory-style BFA program. It was intense—hands-on work in everything from stage combat to dialects to acting for the camera. My training focused on seamlessly integrating voice, body, and emotion to create authentic performances, a skill I carry into my voice work today. Whether on stage, on screen, or behind the mic, I fully inhabit every character, bringing them to life with physicality, depth, and nuance.
When I’m not in my booth, you can find me writing songs with my guitar, cooking my latest food hyperfixation, or making silly videos with my girlfriend and our cats. And yes… I’m obsessed with D&D and anything fantasy-related… How could you have guessed? And- why yes, I would love to work with you.
Let’s make some magic together.
